The Indiana Fever exceeded everyone’s expectations with their postseason run in the 2025 season, despite losing multiple key players to injuries. Champion coach Becky Hammon even singled out Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever as the toughest opponents in their championship run. Apart from CC, Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald, Chloe Bibby and Sydney Colson were others on the injury list.
Now for the 2026 season, the franchise chose to add key players from the 2025 roster, and ahead of the training camp, the side provided an update on their players’ injuries.

Indiana Fever Provides Update On Sophie Cunningham’s Injury
Even though the side had multiple stars on the injury list during the 2025 season, Caitlin Clark played for the USA basketball at the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, Kelsey Mitchell and Aari McDonald played in the unrivaled league. Other stars were also active on the court, except Cunningham.
The Fever franchise signed Cunningham on a one-year contract, showing their trust in the versatile star, and recently provided an update on her health.
Coming into camp, the Fever are as healthy as can be.

Caitlin Clark said she is “100% healthy” but learning to manage reps, and Aliyah Boston said she’s “good to go” after her leg injury at Unrivaled.
Sophie Cunningham and Ty Harris are both cleared from their injuries, too.
The 30+-year-old star was constantly providing updates on her injury via social media as she broke her leg during a game against the Connecticut Sun. The player was out of action, but she made multiple public appearances and looked well on track to reach 100% fitness.

Talking about her intentions to join the Indiana team, she said, “We fought through a ton of adversity, and it was important to me that we have a chance to see through what we started. The franchise is certainly looking to make the most of ‘one-year’ contracts of Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham, aiming for the title in the 2026 season.
