A day after the Final Four game, Auriemma issued an apology for his behavior. During the postgame interview of the championship game, the reporter asked Dawn Staley about her reaction to the apology. I apologized to Dawn, her staff and her team. I’ve lost more games in the Final Four than any coach in history. But Friday, I lost something more important. I lost myself.”
