Angel Reese is usually not limited to her antics inside the court. Establishing herself as a style icon, the 23-year-old star has taken up notable ventures outside the WNBA. However, experiencing an injury-plagued season last year, one of her initial focuses was to get back to the basketball court.
And with her inclusion in Team USA alongside Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, the Bayou Barbie got the perfect opportunity to showcase her talents. Thankfully, she did not disappoint.

Angel Reese Dropped A Solid Performance In Team USA Colors
The Chicago Sky star had the honor to start the game for her country with Dearica Hamby, Kahlea Copper, Jackie Young, and Chelsea Gray. Logging in for 18 minutes, the Chi-town Barbie ended with six points and eight rebounds. She also had 2-of-3 shooting that helped her team triumph over Senegal 110-46.
Now, on paper, her contribution might not look impressive. But a deeper dive will reveal how the 2-time WNBA All-Star impacted the game. For example, known for her rebounding abilities, Reese’s 8 rebounds were the highest of the night.

Coming to the tournament, the Sky star had set some very realistic goals for herself. Speaking about what to expect from her, Reese said, “Everybody’s not going to be able to score 20. Just being able to come in and find my niche of what I can do specifically, that I know I can always bring to the table, is going to be a big part of my life.”
Well, that is exactly what she did throughout the game. Meanwhile, away from the glitz and glamour of Team USA, uncertainty still clouds the WNBA world. And the 2-time WNBA Rebounding leader is not okay with it.
Angel Reese Looks Forward To A Fruitful Negotiation
According to Cathy Engelbert, there’s still work to do on the CBA deal. And as March 10 passed, the sides failed to meet the deadline for the fourth time. Fighting for pay equity, it has been eighteen months since the players are requesting a proper share of revenue. Reacting to the same, Reese recently stated how the players were eager to play. But they also expect to get fairly compensated.
“Everybody wants to play but all of us want to play at what we should be compensated for. So we’re just going to continue to negotiate. Negotiation is not easy. I talk to my team all the time, when I negotiate deals, you go back and forth until you come to a common ground of what we both can go for,” said the Chi-Town Barbie.
