According to reports, the WNBA presented a substantial offer and attempted to incorporate all the demands proposed by the WNBPA. The offer includes a maximum salary of $1.1 million for multiple players and also provides an opportunity for players to participate in revenue sharing. While the offer applies to all players, it was initiated following Napheesa Collier’s criticism of the salaries of superstar rookies Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Angel Reese.
When the league presented an improved proposal, Collier demanded more for players, citing Clark as an example. Now, with this million-dollar proposal, fans are looking for the exact amount the start would make.

New Possible Earnings for Caitlin Clark In New CBA Deal
The Indiana Fever’s top pick from the draft is still under a rookie contract with the team and has two more years left on the contract. Over the past two years, the playmaker has earned approximately $154,000 in WNBA salaries.
She will receive an additional $183,455 over the remaining two years and will then become an unrestricted free agent after the 2027 season. The WNBA’s CBA proposal calls for a league maximum salary of around $1.1 million from 2026. Still, it will increase gradually per season, meaning the start could expect a figure around $1.3 million when she becomes a free agent.

Although the league is still operating under a hard cap, the salary will be the norm for the league’s highest earners, unlike the NBA, where players’ earnings vary according to the team’s cap space.
