The Unrivaled League 2 announced its roster and teams, as fans make early predictions for the winner. Although every team appears to be a top contender for the title, the former champions, Rose BC, will be without superstar Angel Reese, who was a double-double machine in the league and the first player in the league to achieve a 20-20 game.
Though fans trolled Reese for the Unrivaled snub, it was her decision to skip season two of the 3-on-3 league. While it impacted the Rose BC’s chances, they are still in a position to defend the title.
Rose BC Could Win Unrivaled Season 2 Despite Losing Angel Reese
The Chicago Sky forward was a key factor in the 2024 championship run. She continued her strong rookie season form to help the Roe BC win the inaugural championship. Moreover, her recent performance in the WNBA, which showcased her improved shooting and defensive abilities, would have made the Rose BC a dominant force in the league. Still, the player opted out, leaving the side with no choice but to find a replacement.

Last season’s MVP, Chelsea Gray, led the side to the title and will be part of the mix once again, which hands the franchise a massive boost to their title defence. Moreover, Azura Stevens’ recent outing with the Spark hinted at an improvement in her gameplay, which favors the Rose BC.

Knowing her stardom and impact, she was one of the names expected to return to the Unrivaled league. However, it came as a big surprise to the fans when her name was not on the list.
