This WNBA season has been a milestone in many ways. With the viewership witnessing an all-time high, the revenues have skyrocketed for the league compared to their numbers in the past.
And with it, the CBA talks have also intensified to a large extent. Recently, the WNBA proposed a 30-day CBA deadline extension to avoid a work stoppage. This has made the situation even more complicated as the players do not seem to be backing down from their pleas.
Well, quite rightly so, as the league is showing significant growth in all spheres. In a recently released update, the social media numbers for all the franchises have been released. And quite expectedly, the two teams dominating proceedings are the Indiana Fever and the Dallas Wings.
Paige Bueckers-Caitlin Clark Factor Propel Indiana Fever, Dallas Wings’ Social Media Dominance
Before this year, the battle between the Fever and Wings was just a normal game. But with the emergence of Paige Bueckers, the hype around the game is unreal. With Bueckers breaking several of Caitlin Clark’s records in her debut year, the fans cannot be more hyped up to watch the duo play.

And all of this hype contributed quite positively towards their growth on social media. As the WNBA released its social rankings and insights report, digital analytics and measurement platform Zoomph presented the impact and valuation of each team on social media.
As per the report, it was the Indiana Fever who topped the charts. And that too, with flying colors. The Fever had an estimated $55.04 million social value, which was utterly impressive. Most importantly, it must be noted that Fever did not have Clark for the majority of the season. Thus, such an engagement comes as a huge boost for the franchise.

Next up, it was the Dallas Wings who took the second spot with a valuation of $8.61 million. In fact, they witnessed a whopping 500% growth from last year. Surely, such a stat will further fuel the Bueckers-Clark rivalry. And speaking on the same, former NFL star Emmanuel Acho picked Bueckers over Clark.
Emmanuel Acho Sides With Dallas Wings’ Paige Bueckers Over Caitlin Clark
The comparisons between Bueckers and Clark have been going overboard this season. And as the Wings’ star clinched the Rookie of the Year award, the debate over who was the better player between the two intensified.

Reflecting on the same, Acho made a surprising choice as he sided with Bueckers. But he had his reasons too. “I’m taking Paige Bueckers over Caitlin Clark. Basketball heads, am I trippin. She’s (Paige) a more fundamentally sound basketball player in my mind. I think she (Pagie) shot 47% from the field and 38% from three, as opposed to Caitlin, who shot 38% from the field and 32% from three. Paige’s efficiency is a separating factor for me,” Acho said on the Speakeasy talk show.
Thus, with the rivalry growing between the two rookie stars, it will be interesting to see who has the last laugh.
