Indiana Fever’s second season was always going to be a special one, with a number of high-profile signings, and Caitlin Clark was ready to build on her impressive rookie season. Sadly, the playmakers suffered multiple injuries in the season and were eventually ruled out for the season.
The team clinched a spot in the playoffs without he 2024 rookie, but even the Fever GM Amber Cox delivered a heartfelt note after the playoff qualification. Everyone missed the 2024 Rookie of the Year winner. Despite this, the Indiana Fever excelled in one WNBA stat.
Indiana Fever Registers New Record Without Caitlin Clark
The former Iowa star is famous for breaking and setting records. Even so, she would have set a record for most records in a single season – her rookie season. She transformed the Indiana Fever, WNBA, and Women’s sport in general in just her single season appearance.

Ready to better her rookie season numbers, the player started off hot in the 2025 WNBA season. But later injuries kept her out for a season, leaving the Indiana Fever shorthanded. Despite her absence, the franchise won its first title, the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup, and reached the playoffs, silencing all the doubters.
And now, a new stat shows how the Fever remained the most followed side despite CC’s absence. According to the stats, the Indiana Fever are leading the WNBA in attendance, drawing 700,000 fans as the regular season closes. Importantly, the number is 100,000 more than the next closest team, highlighting the team’s dominance in popularity.
