The WNBA season is ready to welcome players with many changes in franchise rosters following the expansion draft, a mega free agency and the 2026 WNBA draft. The confirmation of CBA opened doors for these changes, but also forced franchises to provide a ‘high standard’ of training facilities. Interestingly, well before the CBA confirmation, the Indiana Fever had been working on the same and recently provided an update.
At the end of the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Sparks announced a $150 million practice facility to boost WNBA infrastructure. Similarly, the Dallas Wings also started their project midseason in the 2025 season to provide the players with the opportunity to work on their skills and improve their conditioning.
The Fever team started the project at the start of the 2025 season, and now the President, Kelly Krauskopf, has provided an important update on the same.

Big Update on $78 Million Indian Fever Facility
Ever since the Indiana Fever welcomed Caitlin Clark to the lineup, there have been major changes in the franchise. The popularity, ticket sales, and viewership skyrocketed, and the performances on the floor also improved drastically. The front office also added facilities for the players to improve their production.
While the practice facility is one of such initiatives the franchise took at the start of the 2025 season, Fever president Kelly Krauskopf gave an update. “Our home is coming to life and we’re so excited. When the concrete goes down, you’re laying the foundation for this next generation,” she said.

The performance center is set to open ahead of the 2027 WNBA season and will cost around $78 million. The Fever is targeting an opening date of “spring of 2027,” per Krauskopf.
While the facility will provide a base for the players to make a bigger impact on the court, superstar Caitlin Clark is already set for the upcoming season and points out that the front office sees Kelsey Mitchell as the prime target for 2026. Moreover, the player boldly claimed that the Fever team would challenge the title in the immediate season

The 2025 season brought in much hope for the Fever franchise after their star players delivered on the floor, putting the team in the semifinals of the season, without multiple key players. Now the front office will look to create a similar formidable team as the megastar Clark clears her vision for the season.
During her debut on NBC’s pregame show, Clark said, “I think we’re gonna be the favorite to win it all. I think it adds a little pressure, but that’s what you love about it. But we’ve got a great squad, great coach, great support staff. So, super excited.”
The player added that she feels fit and ready for the challenge. Both news are very positive for the Fever fanbase with fit players and improved facilities, the side will be competitive in the league in the coming future.
