At the start of the season, the Indiana Fever was one of the favorites for the WNBA championship. But a series of injuries to key players and the rise of other franchises led many to wonder if the Indiana Fever could recover without Caitlin Clark. However, the side advanced to the playoffs as the number six seed.
Critics were still concerned about Stephanie White’s team’s capability to challenge the league’s elites, starting with the opening series against the Atlanta Dream. But after defeating the Dream, the Indiana franchise had its say.
Indiana Fever Mocks WNBA Experts
At the start of the 2025 season, the Indiana Fever boldly started a series, “Now You Know,” showcasing their strength and capability for the championship. However, injuries hit them hard throughout the season, leaving many players in and out of rotation for the game. In the end, five key players were out for the season.

Midway through the regular season, the Fever won the Commissioner’s Cup, giving them a slight hope for the WNBA Championship contention. However, with three of its initial squad already out of the season, the WNBA experts counted them out right from the first round against the Dream.
Most experts predicted a clean sweep, which was a brutal take even with the team’s regular-season performance. After dropping Game 1 to the Dream, talk shows were around Atlanta’s chances against the Aces. But the Fever won the next two games and clinched the series.
Following the surprising series win, Indiana did not hesitate to fire a quick message to those who doubted them heading into the series. In a post on X, the Fever listed all of the analysts who had picked Atlanta with their predictions and wrote, “Now You Know,”.

Indiana Fever Will Look To Keep The Momentum Going
The WNBA semifinal will be a five-game series with Las Vegas hosting the first two games and the Indiana Fever hosting the next two games. The second-seeded Aces will host the fifth game if needed.
Stephanie Whites side recorded a win over the Aces early in the season, but A’ja Wilson’s team is different now, winning 18 games out of the last 19. HC Stephanie White had a strong message for her team before the playoffs and the side will look to follow that message to push for the championship.
