Caitlin Clark had a groin injury on June 26, making her unable to play. She hasn’t played for five consecutive matches now. So, many fans around the globe wanted to see her return as the Fever faced the Valkyries.
So, it’s happy news. Clark is all set to play against the Golden State Valkyries. After team practice on Monday, Clark gave an update on her injury and return status. She talked to reporters after practice, speaking up on setbacks and her return.

“It’s nice to get back out there and get back into the flow of playing with my teammates again. It’s going to be fun to get back out there, hopefully, and just feel things again. … It is obviously hard sitting out and watching for a few weeks, so I’m excited to get out there.” Clark said to the reporters after practice.

Fever Head Coach Confirms Caitlin Clark’s Return
After missing the previous two weeks due to a left groin injury, Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White said on Tuesday, July 8, that she anticipates Caitlin Clark to play against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday. According to White, if nothing goes wrong, Clark will be back in time to take on the Valkyries.
“She gets to do a little bit more, and then we see tomorrow: Is there progress, or is there any regression? How does she feel? How does she look? What does recovery look like?” White said. “And so this was really the first time we’ve been able to get around as live action. So, we’ll see what it brings tomorrow.” Stephanie White said to reporters.
With a victory over the Minnesota Lynx on July 1, the Fever, who are now ranked third in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference, won the league’s sixth annual Commissioner’s Cup Trophy. The Fever will hope to keep their momentum in the upcoming game.
