Without a shred of doubt, Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest names currently in the WNBA league. Clark is one of the driving forces behind the India Fever roster. But the injury has made her sit on the bench for a while now. However, she last played on June 24, where she had one of the poorest performances of this season in a win over the Seattle Storm.
During the final seconds of that match, the Fever’s star took an awkward fall, which caused the injury. The Indiana Fever announced that Clark is going to be out due to a groin injury. Now, with the team going to face the LA Sparks, many fans need an update on Clark’s playing status. Here’s what we know so far:
Caitlin Clark Ruled Out For Saturday’s Game Against Los Angeles Sparks
The Indiana Fever reported that Caitlin Clark will miss Saturday’s home game against the Los Angeles Sparks with a left groin injury. Clark is currently sidelined for the fifth game straight. It doesn’t look good for the Fever. This was why Clark got ruled out of the Commissioner’s Cup final. But the Fever did win against the Minnesota Lynx, 74-59.

This doesn’t look good for the Fever rookie. While she is a talent everybody wants, injury problems could be a huge setback for Fever & Clark alike. She first had a quad injury this year, which sidelined her for five matches. So, basically, Clark has missed nine regular-season games and ten this season. This could be a big problem for Fever, but Head Coach Stephanie White doesn’t believe it to be the case.
Stephanie White Wants Caitlin Clark To Focus On Her Health
Till yesterday, reports suggested that the young guard could make her return this Saturday. But that is into the flush now. Head coach Stephanie White provided an update following practice on July 4. Clark has resumed training, but she is yet to fully engage in team drills as the injury could worsen.
“We went through some semi-live shooting drills… [Clark] still hasn’t gone full speed or joined in on defensive group work. But she’s been doing some 3-on-3 work on her own.” said White(Via: X/@TonREast)

Fever’s Head Coach is looking to bring CC back when she is 100%. The problem is that Clark doesn’t want to have a minute’s problem getting into a game. So, White wants Clark to be at her best when she returns, as injury has really destroyed many careers.
“The biggest thing is she’s said she doesn’t like minute restrictions. If there’s going to be one, maybe we’ll hold her out another game. I prioritize her long-term health and wellness and ensuring that when she comes back, she’s 100%.” White concluded.
Even if she doesn’t recover fast. The Indiana Fever can take their time. They have been very impressive throughout the season. With or without Caitlin. They are having an excellent season. This could help Clark concentrate on herself and her injury while the team continues making waves in the WNBA league. As the playoff race continues, the timing of Clark’s return could play a huge role for the Fever.
