The rivalry on the WNBA court will take a back seat now, as many superstars will be on national duty. The roster is a mix of veteran and young stars from the league, with the national team looking to prepare for the future. Young core contains Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, and Caitlin Clark, while Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, and Kalsey Plum form the trio of vets on the roster.
Incidentally, when the players joined the training camp in December, there was a lot of exchange of ideas and even learning from each other on the court. Chelsea Gray spoke about getting inspiration from CC during the training camp. But the rookies also asked the seniors for help, and Young opened up about one such request from Reese.

Angel Reese With Special Request For Jackie Young
During the Team USA training camp, the Reese’s ‘I take a lot of things from other people’ claim went viral as the player showed her interest in continuously learning from the best. On similar lines, she had a special request for the Aces guard.
In a recent press conference, Young said, “Angel wants me to teach her how to juggle, so we will see. I brought the tennis balls, so let’s see.”

As for Reese, she is always ready for new challenges and skills as the multi-talented forward is looking to constantly improve on her performances both on and off the court and is open to learning. She even took acting tips from Idris Elba during the shooting of the ‘House of Dynamite’ movie.
While the players are bonding well and liking at various levels, they are also united in the ongoing CBA talks, as the 2025 WNBA champion also spoke about the WNBA-WNBPA discussions in the interview.
Jackie Young Backs WNBPA For Strike If Needed
The league and players’ demands are not matching with the March 10 deadline date approaching. Fans fear the worst for the season, as both sides stay aggressive in their stance in the discussions.

In the recent interview, Jackie Young also spoke about the CBA deal and said, “I think we’re all just fighting for what we think we deserve. I just want to feel valued. I think that’s the biggest thing. Sometimes you have to have hard conversations to get something good.”
While both league and players are hoping to have the season on the floor on time, the CBA talks delay and differences between them are hampering that ‘dream’.
