Despite the Chicago Sky’s horrific season, one player who stood out was Angel Reese. The double-double queen managed to break multiple franchise records and even retained her ‘leading rebounder in WNBA’ title. Yet, Reese’s exit interview change sparks Chicago Sky trade rumors. Amid this ‘mixed emotions’, her HC, Tyler Marsh, was lauding her outing and even praised her improvement from her rookie season.
Impressed by his forward’s progress, the coach compared her to the Los Angeles Lakers’ legend James Worthy. Incidentally, Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson caught up with the multi-championship winner, who gave his honest opinion on Marsh’s views.

James Worthy Shared His Views On Angel Reese
The Chicago Sky’s HC hinted at using the former LSU star as the focus of the team’s offense and tried developing her accordingly. Now, at the end of the season, he looked back and saw a massive improvement in the player, comparing her to James Worthy. Branson Robinson asked the former NBA champion about the same.
“She has tremendous footwork. Her ability to bypass players — I do see a little bit of familiarity in that. I haven’t seen enough to say she’s exactly like me, but she does have tendencies of evading and making her game stretch out a little bit to avoid defenses. I do like that about her game,” Worthy said.
The three-time NBA champion was a member of the ‘Showtime Lakers’ and was one of the quickest players on the floor. While he was an elite scorer, he also contributed in the rebounding department.
