When the Indiana Fever brought Caitlin Clark on board, they were sure it would change the team’s fortune. While Clark’s rookie season brought massive popularity to Indiana, the team is still not able to live up to expectations.
Despite the Fever making a few changes to the roster, Clark got everything but support. However, this led to veteran columnist Jason Whitlock lash out at the franchise for not supporting Clark’s stardom.
Whitlock Questions Sparks’ Controversy as he Slammed Indiana Fever’s Coaching Choices
The Indiana Fever is currently the fifth-best team in the league in terms of offensive and defensive ratings. But their performance is getting criticized from all across the league. Recently, Whitlock openly called out the Fever for falling short of building a team around Clark.

The former Fox News sports analyst recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) social media account and lashed out.
“The Indiana Fever are not built for the superstardom of Caitlin Clark. They’re so captured by the lesbian culture within the WNBA that they’re afraid to build the right kind of team and atmosphere around Caitlin Clark,” he wrote.

Additionally, Whitlock also suggested replacing the team coach in a recent video from his ‘Fearless with Jason Whitlock’. According to him, the team, along with the coach, missed out on the opportunity to give the star rookie what she deserved.
Caitlin Clark Faces Criticism After Disastrous Performance Against Aces
While Whitlock wholeheartedly endorsed Caitlin Clark during his earlier tweet, he went on to rip her soon after. After Clark’s disastrous performance during the Fever’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces, he dropped another tweet bomb on her.
Clark significantly struggled throughout the game. Due to her poor performance, she faced open criticism from the veteran.
“7 turnovers for Clark again. Awful performance today. 1 of 7 from three. She’s shook since the Barbie Brawl,” Whitlock wrote.
Despite all the criticism, the Indiana fans are hopeful that she will make a strong comeback in the upcoming games. With their next game lined up against the Seattle Storm, everybody awaits a wonder from CC.
