Angel Reese’s saga overshadowed the Chicago Sky’s poor record in the 2025 WNBA regular season. While her comments on her teammates and later actions sparked concerns over her future with the franchise, her teammate Kamilla Cardoso looked less concerned about Reese’s exit during her exit interview.
Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca addressed the Reese trade rumors and is confident that she will stay with the team. Her teammate Cardoso tried to avoid the topic in her exit interview.
Kamilla Cardoso Is Not Worried About Angel Reese’s Exit
The Chicago Sky’s 2025 season wrapped up early with a 12th-place finish following a 10-34 record. The team had its exit interviews with players reflecting on their season and plans. The Brazilian star is one of the key members of the franchise who talked at length about her plans with the franchise.

“We had hard conversations as teammates and coaching staff that we needed more from me. That was a point of emphasis going into the All-Star break. I’m proud of myself for what I did this year. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for us,” Cardoso said in her exit interview.
Her words are encouraging for the side and hint at her plans to stay with the team despite back-to-back disappointing seasons. But it is important to note that she avoided talking about Angel Reese’s saga.

Angle Reese Not Staying With Chicago Sky
Even though the Sky GM claims that the star will stay with the franchise, the players’ signs are not positive. The host of the ‘Keep The Vision’ YouTube channel claims that the player played out the franchise, sitting out the final three games and also avoiding an exit interview.
“She played y’all, Sky. Hey Jeff, she played y’all. She didn’t even show up to the exit meeting,” he reacted to the video of the forward dancing before the final game. The player also went straight to Vegas after the final game of the season and attended a boxing bout between Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez.
