The Breeze BC team must win the next games to snap the final playoff spots after their recent loss. Lunar Owls stunned the challengers despite Dominique Malonga and Paige Bueckers’ strong performances.
The game itself had a ‘heated’ moment where Kate Martin and Skylar Diggins received technical fouls for their aggressive behavior. The Valkyries star would be sad not to be able to make an impact, playing in just 9.5 minutes in the game. But she is always backing her teammates and praised Paige Bueckers in a recent interview.

Kate Martin Gives Biggest Praise For Paige Bueckers
The Wings’ guard was the biggest name in the 2026 Unrivaled league after her stellar performance in the WNBA. The players lived up to the hype and are delivering consistent performances in the 3-on-3 format, too. Though many results went against her side, she could end up winning the MVP title too. Her teammate Kate Martin was on the ‘We Need To Talk’ podcast and explained her experience playing alongside the former UConn star.
“To be able to be teammates with Paige after playing against her in college and playing against her at the pro level, it’s just been really cool to see how she handles her business, how she handles being a pro, and just see her mindset, her messages to the team, how she thinks about it,” Martin said on the podcast.
“And it is truly why she is one of the best in the entire league. She handles her business a certain way, and that girl is a stud. I love playing with people like that. She just makes the game easier for everybody else. It’s been very fun. We don’t have many games left, so just trying to cherish it and get some more wins under our belt,” the versatile guard added.

Interestingly, the former Iowa player mentioned that she is impressed by Paige Bueckers’ mid-range shooting while answering the start-bench-cut question between her teammates, PB, Caitlin Clark, and A’ja Wilson.
Though she avoided giving an answer on three of the top players in the league, her first words definitely caught attention. The 2025 rookie will need more of those baskets to help her side advance to the next round.
Paige Bueckers & Co. On Brink Of Another Disappointing Season End
After 11 games, Mist BC joined Laces BC and Phantom BC as the third team to qualify for the playoffs. The young Breeze team started well in the league, but some close and surprising losses put them in fourth position, level with the defending champions, Rose BC.

The remaining fixtures for the side include games against Vinyl BC, Mist BC, and Laces BC, while Rose BC will play against Hive BC, Phantom BC, and Laces BC. More importantly, Angel Reese is back for the Rose BC, which will hand the side a huge advantage in the games.
But PB and team have a better point differential and can easily advance only if they manage to win the remaining games.
