In the off-season, the guard will be in action once again, as she will play in the Unrivaled League Season 2. As for the Fever side, the player is vital, and the HC Stephanie White made her plans clear.
Stephanie White Makes Kelsey Mitchell Priority Signing
The current free agency has multiple stars available for many franchises, and after the 2025 season, the Fever team became one of the hottest teams in the offseason. Therefore, the franchise has the opportunity to acquire top players with championship experience. But in a recent interview, HC Stephanie white showed trust in KM and mentioned that she is the top priority.
“We want to continue to build around her and continue for her to have success. I thought she was so instrumental in everything that we did. You lose everybody that we lost, and Kelsey Mitchell just kept getting better and better and better as the year progressed. And I think that while it’s hard to believe she’s eight years or whatever in this league, that there’s still so much in her,” said White.
While the star is the priority for the franchise, the star showed interest in returning, as Mitchell put one condition for her Fever return in her recent interview. Now, the front office would work around something to get its prized asset back on the roster.
