The Indiana Fever is on a high at the moment. Despite the absence of their star, Caitlin Clark, the team has been on a winning spree. After registering a victory against the Aces, the Fever were up against the Chicago Sky. And what transpired was an absolutely marvelous performance from the Fever. Playing without Caitlin Clark, it was Kelsey Mitchell who took charge.
Mitchell has been in sublime form throughout the season. Averaging 19.6 points per game, Mitchell once again took the hardwood by storm. And in the process, she joined her famed teammate, Caitlin Clark.
Kelsey Mitchell Equals Caitlin Clark After Insane 35-point Show
Mitchell took it on herself to drive Fever ahead of the Chicago Sky. With the score reading 93-78, the majority of the points came from Mitchell. She scored a whopping 35 points to derail the attempts of Sky. Along with it, she also clinched a couple of rebounds with six assists. And all of these stats made her stand on level pegging with Caitlin Clark.
She became only the second Indiana Fever athlete in history to score more than 35 points. And not only that, she also dropped five plus assists and five plus three pointers to elevate herself to a legendary position. Mitchell also had 12 successful throws out of 19 attempts from the floor.

When it came to shooting three-pointers, Mitchell had seven successful conversions out of 10 attempts. Meanwhile, as the Fever star had a charmed game, she had an injury scare that almost spoiled the celebrations.

Kelsey Mitchell could be spotted limping, holding her groin. Trying to shake off the pain, Mitchell powered through for a moment. However, she was compelled to go back to the locker room and have her knees braced. Such a development made the fans utterly concerned. Thankfully, addressing the media post-game, the 29-year-old shrugged it off.

“I think it was just more like throughout the course of my left side. But I don’t think anything major. I just think we have to be precautionary. Nothing major,” Mitchell said.
