The Unrivalled season 2 entered a phase where the 3-on-3 match-ups took a backseat for the 1-on-1 competition. The demanding competition is one of the fan favorites in the league. While there are multiple must-watch 1-on-1 tournament Unrivalled matchups, players like Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Mitchell, and Chelsea Grey are leading the race for the $200,000 cash prize.
Amid this, the Fever guard praised the 2025 WNBA rookie for her offensive plays, hinting at an enticing game for fans.

Kelsey Michell Sees Paige Bueckers As a Real Challenge
Playing in the One-on-One tournament tests everyone’s ability to score, defend, and even showcase the power against bigger opponents. The 2025 edition had two forwards as its finalists, while season 2’s new guards pose a serious threat to the forwards’ dominance. KM, meanwhile, praised her opponent for her offence.
“This was one of the first games where I really had to go against someone who can truly score at a high level (Paige)….You don’t take moments like this for granted…If I can find ways to play against players like that every night, I know I’m going to get better,” Kelsey Mitchell said.

Paige Bueckers’ Plan For Offensive Takeover
Making an immediate impact on the WNBA court, Bueckers won the Rookie of the Year accolade. At Unrivaled, she is also an MVP candidate for her consistent and high-volume scoring. Though her ability sets her apart from the rest of the group, she wants to add another deadly weapon to take over the games.
“I wanna work on my left hand more, and I wanna get to the free throw line more,” Bueckers said. “So lowkey like, a little foul bait. But also, I wanna get the bump, the Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander) shoulder bump into my midrange pull-up.”

Shai-Gilgeous Alexander won the NBA Championship and Finals MVP award with similar offense, and so it’s understandable why PB is looking to cop him.
