Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever is one of the biggest clashes in the WNBA. However, in their latest outing, the excitement was pretty much subdued. And there was a big reason for the same. While the rivalry is hyped up as Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese, both stars were sidelined. With Reese and Clark both dealing with injuries, the onus was on the others to carry the team through.
And surely enough, Kelsey Mitchell did what she always does best. Putting on a show yet again, Mitchell has propelled her team to a fantastic victory. But what bothered fans the most was when the Fever star was spotted holding her groin. With speculations flooding in, the star player soon had some good news to deliver.
Kelsey Mitchell Shrugs Off Injury Scare
The Indiana Fever made their way back into the winning column. With a 93-78 win, the team looks to be up and running once again. However, mid-game, cameras caught Mitchell holding her groin. To make matters worse, she started to limp soon after. While she tried to shake off her discomfort, Mitchell went back to the locker room. And when she came back, the Fever star had a knee brace on. This sent a shockwave of concern. Thankfully, Mitchell cleared the air around herself. Addressing the press, she stated that the niggle was not a major one.
“I think it was just more like throughout the course of my left side. But I don’t think anything major. I just think we have to be precautionary. Nothing major,” Mitchell said.

She dropped a whopping 35 points to seal the deal for her team. Meanwhile, continuing her streak of dominance, Mitchell made history against the Aces.
