Los Angeles recently faced off against the Atlanta Dream. And while it was a tough game for the Sparks, they failed to hold on. Despite some impeccable performances, the Sparks succumbed to a 75-86 loss, further pushing their playoff hopes. However, with dark clouds hovering, Plum emerged as the only silver lining.

The 31-year-old has been phenomenal ever since joining the Sparks. She seems to have carried over her form from last season, making important contributions for the team. Playing against the Dream too, the evening turned out to be a memorable one. Plum played a total of 33 minutes. And within that timeframe, she dropped 18 points and three rebounds.

Along with it, she also did something very special. Clinching seven assists, the 31-year-old made history when she surpassed Dream’s Jordin Canada. While Canada had a total assists tally of 228, Plum now has 229. And this was not a one-off spark from the 31-year-old.

Averaging 5.9 assists per game, she is doing enough to get a push for a top-five ranking in terms of average assists. When the Los Angeles Sparks faced off against the Mystics, they weren’t thinking of anything other than a win. Whenever such a condition arises, Plum is there to save the day. While the chips were down, the 31-year-old went berserk in the fourth quarter. As the Sparks scored 26 points, Plum stacked up 14 points in the final ten minutes of the game. “I know it will break open for me eventually. I thought they did a really good job playing on-ball street defense throughout the game. So just trying to be patient and then take my shots when I was ready,” Plum told reporters.
