While the Sparks’ hard effort was well appreciated, it was Paige Bueckers who stole the show with her incredible performance. Bueckers had a historic night after pouring in 44 points. It was Bueckers’ highest scoring game and the highest by any player in the 2025 season. It’s not the first time Bueckers has reached a milestone with the Wings.

Plum was the bright spot for the Los Angeles Sparks after she stole the show. The Sparks were trailing 79-80 with the clock ticking. With just a few seconds remaining, Kelsey Plum dribbled her way to score two points, helping the team secure a win. After the game, Plum opened up on stealing the spotlight from Paige Bueckers.

“It was a back-and-forth game. Credit to Dallas, they were phenomenal. Paige was phenomenal. I missed the last one, but as a player, you have a belief in yourself. I was going to wait to shoot it at the buzzer. Didn’t want to give them a chance. And yeah, I mean, game over,” Kelsey Plum said.

Kelsey Plum Says The Los Angeles Sparks Need To Play More Defense
Plum was hyped after her performance and wants to make it to the playoffs. When asked how the team gets ready for the rest of their playoff push, she said they need to play more defense.
“Yeah, we gotta play some f*****g defense,” Kelsey Plum said.

The Sparks are still fighting for a playoff spot, and they must focus on winning their remaining games. At present, they are still a half-game behind the Seattle Storm to clinch a playoff berth. It’s a tight race for the Sparks with just nine games remaining in the regular season. Plum is aware of the tough schedule ahead for the Los Angeles Sparks.
