The Unrivaled league season 2 is now ready its playoff fixtures, with six teams already looking to take the next step in the competition. Lunar Owls and Hive BC might be out of the playoffs; they played against each other what was their final game in the season. But Monique Billings and Marina Mabrey were looking to make it a memorable fixture with their individual brilliance.
As for Mabrey, she showcased her explosive scoring ability, with 33 point output in the game and as for Billings, she nearly matched Dominique Malonga’s hype with a thunderous dunk.

Monique Billings Draws Reaction from Kevin Durant
The Unrivaled league is now a platform for WNBA stars to develop their skills in 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 formats and showcase their abilities on the floor. While their respective franchises are also looking at the probable pairing in the upcoming season, some individual brilliancies stood out in season 2.
In the game against the Lunar Owls BC, the Mystique star drove to the open basket and leapt to make the dunk, though she couldn’t reach the required altitude. Her attempt drew much interest, and a near slam dunk stunned Kevin Durant, who was in attendance for the final games of the regular season.

The video quickly went viral as many fans targeted the WNBA stars for their inability to dunk in games. A’ja Wilson criticized claims regarding dunk and added that the focus on the craft the players have in the WNBA right now.

Monique Billings Close Out Season On High Note
In the 2025 expansion draft, the forward was the first signing of the Golden State Valkyries, highlighting her capability on the floor. The eight-year veteran didn’t cross a double-digit scoring average in her WNBA career, though she was impactful on both ends of the floor. In the Unrivaled league, she showed her offensive gameplay with Hive BC.

Playing in all 14 games for the side, she averaged 14.2 points while shooting nearly 47% from the field. She led the team in rebounds with 11 rebounds per game and had a block and a steal in each game.
Although Valkyries gave her limited time on the floor, new expansion teams will keep a close eye on the effective two-way player as a possible addition to the team.
