Indiana has recently come off a phenomenal win against the Connecticut Sun. Trailing by 21 points, Kelsey Mitchell’s heroics gifted the team a 99-93 victory. And now, to make things brighter, the speculations for a probable return of Clark are being heavily teased.

It has been a long time since Caitlin Clark took to the hardwood. Missing more than 20 games, the 2024 Rookie of the Year has no return timeline yet. Surely, all of this news will sound pretty sombre. But in a recent turn of events, the Fever announced Lambert’s exit from the team. And this is a pretty significant update considering Indiana’s current situation.
Just a few days back, Fever signed Lambert to a seven-day contract. The move was seen as a telltale sign of the team trying to rack in as many backups as possible for Clark. However, it has only been a few days since the front office decided not to proceed with the contract. Considering the fact that Indiana is dealing with so many injuries, such a decision looks inexplicable.
