Even though Angel Reese’s off-court activities are shining brighter than her WNBA seasons, no one can ignore her on-court performances. The forward put up double-double stats nearly in every game, and still held the ‘rebounding queen’ crown, leading the league for the second season in a row.
Her HC, Tyler Marsh, is happy with her progress and compared her to former NBA superstar James Worthy in terms of impact. Worthy also shared honest thoughts on the Chicago Sky coach, comparing Angel Reese’s game to his own, and praised the player.
Following comparisons with the three-time NBA Champion, many would see the Chi-Town Barbie as a dominant post player in the WNBA, but her former teammate seconds that thought.

Kysre Gondrezick Puts Satou Sabally Ahead Of Angel Reese
On ‘7 PM in Brooklyn’, the former Sky star was in discussion with hosts Carmelo Anthony and Kazeem Famuyide, where she picked winners of one-on-one matchups between the WNBA stars. While she picked Caitlin Clark over Sue Bird and then Diana Taurasi over the Fever guard, she was confused about the battle between the forwards.
Talking about the Satou Sabally-Angel Reese faceoff, the 28-year-old chose the Mercury star. She said, “I am not gonna lie. Respectfully, I am gonna choose Angel, because (she is a) former teammate of mine. But for the match-up, Satou. I think she is more fundamentally sound, as Angel is starting to grow that into her game now, like Angel is a powerhouse.”
She also praised Reese’s ‘never give up’ attitude and accepted that the matchup would be tough. Gondrezick and Angel Reese were previously teammates on the Chicago Sky and had a good relationship, with the 2024 rookie expressing support for Gondrezick after the franchise waived her.

Her opponent in the discussion, Satou Sabally, also praised the former LSU star and referred to her as a “unicorn” on the court. He lauded Reese’s unique ability as a 6’5″ post player who can also handle the ball.
However, the player demonstrated significant improvement in her game and broke several records in the 2025 season alone. She recently received a call for a national team training camp.

There were rumors around the possibility of Reese and Caitlin Clark playing together in a competitive game, and the opportunity looks within grasp. The two-time All-Star earned her first invitation to USA Basketball’s senior national team training camp as the team released the list of 18 players.

The three-day camp will start on December 12 at Duke University in Durham as Reese joins the star-studded lineup with CC, Paige Bueckers, Cameron Brink, Rickea Jackson, Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, and Veronica Burton.
Kara Lawson will lead the camp, with Nate Tibbetts, Stephanie White, and Natalie Nakase serving as her assistant coaches. While this is Reese’s first national team call-up, she will be looking to make the most of the opportunity to avenge the 2024 Olympic Snub.
