The Minnesota Lynx recently broke the franchise wins record to clinch the number one seed. However, that does not mean that they are invincible. Surely, the franchise has been looking extremely competitive and has constantly clinched the number one spot on the points table. But their recent game against the Las Vegas Aces showed that the playoffs might not be a walk in the park for Minnesota after all.
Lynx faced off against the Aces and succumbed to a 97-87 loss. This loss prominently brought the Aces’ rise into the forefront. With Kelsey Plum gone in the offseason, the franchise initially looked a bit rocky. But now, they have made WNBA history.
Las Vegas Aces Marches On Following Dominant Victory Over Minnesota Lynx
Initially, the Aces looked unsettled by the roster shakeup and were pretty inconsistent on the court. But all of that has now changed, and Las Vegas is looking like a serious championship contender at the moment. Following their win against the Lynx, the Aces have now won 13 games in a row this season.

And this was quite a special moment for the franchise. After all, the Aces became only the seventh team in WNBA history to boast of a 13-game winning streak. Now, then, at the start of the season, the defending champions, the New York Liberty and the Minnesota Lynx, looked like serious contenders.

But a rampaging Aces ensured that they are now second on the points table. With such a dominant performance, the atmosphere within the team has been extremely jovial. NaLyssa Smith recently celebrated a win with LeBron James’ viral picture. To further add smiles to the team, Becky Hammon was awarded the Coach of the Month.
