It’s easier to spot an expressive LeBron James than a quiet one. And that was the exact case after A’ja Wilson made history with a record fourth WNBA MVP award.
The NBA superstar has never been shy about cheering on the women’s league, and with a bit of downtime before Lakers training camp, he’s been all over the playoffs and big news from the league. And as the Las Vegas Aces star clinched the title, he was all over social media for his unique wish.
LeBron James Had Unique Wish For A’ja Wilson After WNBA MVP Award
LeBron James kicked off his Sunday scrolling through the highlights, and when the news hit that A’ja Wilson had clinched her fourth WNBA MVP, he couldn’t resist chiming in. He hopped on Instagram with a post that cracked everyone up.

“4 piece chicken nugget!!!! Congratulations sis!” Bron captioned his Instagram story alongside an ESPN graphic celebrating her win. However, this isn’t the first time LeBron has shown love for Wilson. Back in 2024, he was all over her unanimous MVP, posting multiple stories and calling her one of the greats.

Additionally, he’s been vocal about the WNBA’s rise, too, telling espnW in 2017 that athletes like Serena Williams, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, and Diana Taurasi deserve all the props for playing at the highest level, no matter if they’re men or women. However, it was not a one-way love for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, as Wilson sent love for LeBron’s daughter for her style sense.

A’ja Wilson’s 2025 season was straight dominance, leaving no doubt why she snagged her fourth MVP and etched her name in the history books as the first to do it. At 29, she averaged 23.4 points on 50.5% shooting that also included a 42.4% from three, plus 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 1.6 steals in 31.2 minutes over 40 games.
She claimed the scoring title for the second year running, finished second in rebounds, and topped the blocks chart for the fifth time. However, NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news on X (formerly Twitter) early Sunday, and the league made it official soon after.
