Lexie Hull has emerged as one of the most important figures for the Indiana Fever roster this season. With the team struggling without their frontline players, it was Hull who took over the reins and guided the team to a semifinal run.
Looking at her tenacity and commitment towards Indiana, she immediately became a fan favorite. So much so that the Fever fans imitated Hull’s black-eye as part of their Halloween costume.
Unfortunately, despite all the glitz and glamor, one thing that is bothering the WNBA athletes is the CBA negotiations. And Hull became the latest name to speak publicly about the same.
Lexie Hull Lashes Out At The WNBA Over CBA Disputes
Hull was named the Glamour Magazine WNBA Women of the Year. Recently, she was invited to the event to physically collect the honor alongside fellow WNBA stars like Jonquel Jones and Nyara Sabally.

While accepting the award, the Fever guard looked pretty much elated. However, she also made sure to share her honest reaction regarding the ongoing battle for equal pay.
Speaking about how they were fighting with the WNBA authorities for their rights, Hull extended her gratitude to the fans who have supported the WNBA stars in their protest.

“We fight our rivals hard on the court, but now we’re fighting for fair pay, safer play, and better resources for every player in the WNBA. Tonight, we want to thank the fans who are standing with us as we make the WNBA the best league in the world,” said Hull.
Surely, the situation has reached quite a sensitive stage. While the WNBPA has agreed to extend the deadline by 30 days, Nneka Ogwumike has provided further insights.
Nneka Ogwumike Clarifies Reason To Extend The Deadline As Lexie Hull And Co. Keep Protesting
The likes of Hull, Sophie Cunningham, Angel Reese, Napheesa Collier, and more have been vehemently asking for a fair share of revenue. However, after ignoring the plea, the league leadership has secured a 30-day extension on the deadline.

While such a stance from the WNBPA has surprised many, President Ogmike clarified the reason behind the same.
“Two weeks ago, the league offered an extension, but at the time, we felt the circumstances necessary for our agreement to an extension weren’t quite met, but in the last few days, we felt the negotiations had evolved… being able to continue on in good faith with these negotiations, with an agreement of an extension, albeit we wanted to maintain the urgency to reach what we want and know that it will be a transformational CBA,” Ogwumike said.
Surely, with the protests growing stronger than ever, it’s high time the league reached a proper conclusion. Otherwise, with players threatening a work stoppage, fans eagerly wait to see what happens next.
