Indiana Fever fans gave DeWanna Bonner a hostile treatment, and the player responded in the same manner during the team’s visit to Footprint Arena. She drained a three-pointer over Lexie Hull and gave her the same earful as they changed roles in the following position.
It might have been a spur-of-the-moment interaction, but it is very indicative of how the player felt. As for the Fever forward, she is under constant pressure to perform. She has not had a memorable game while the team has a 17-14 record. Hull’s mother took to social media to share a message amid her daughter’s brutal slump.
Lexie Hull’s Mom Calls For Support
Hull is undoubtedly a versatile player in Stephanie White’s rotation. Her defensive ability makes her a valuable player for the Indiana Fever’s quest for a title. Yet, her stat line is not flashy enough this season. Sadly, Lexie Hull’s slump has been pretty evident in the last couple of weeks.
She averages 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and one steal per game. Considering her gametime, which is nearly 26 minutes per game, these numbers might surprise many. Her mother, Jamie Hull, replied to a post supporting her daughter’s struggles.
“This post brought tears to my eyes. Nobody will ever understand how hard Lexie is on herself. As her mom, I wish I could fix it. I can’t. This is something she has to do on her own. Thanks to every single one of you that support her! Supporters>Haters,” Lexie Hull’s mom wrote.

While fans are already supporting the 6-foot-1 forward, her numbers need to improve. She shot 44% from the field last season, which dropped to 35% in 2025. Her shooting range, which helped the team massively in the second half of 2024, saw a massive drop (12%) in the ongoing season. However, she is currently enjoying her time with her teammates.

It’s not the first time Hull’s mother has offered her support. Previously, she supported her daughter with a stern response over her starting role position. Jamie has always been a constant support for her in challenging situations.
Lexie Hull Is Missing The ‘X’ Factor
When the Indiana Fever made big moves in the 2024 offseason, many fans were wondering about the future of the 2022 draft pick. However, the franchise showed trust in the forward and kept her in the rotation despite the incoming high-profile players.
In the second half of 2024, Lexie Hull was the team’s primary threat from the three-point line. Her offensive and defensive tenacity also allowed the franchise to mount a strong postseason challenge.

In the new system under HC Stephanie White, the Stanford graduate played a more defensive role, and despite playing more minutes, her attempts dropped from six to four per game. The addition of Sophie Cunningham impacted her game. Hull wants to overcome her scoring drought and contribute to the team’s offensive success.
