Angel Reese had quite a muted season this year in the WNBA. Playing for the Chicago Sky, Reese failed to make her team shine. However, considering her own performance, the Sky star did show some notable improvements from last year. But with the Sky star, it is not only her performance on the court.
Recently, Sue Bird congratulated Reese after her signature shoes sold out. And now, Lisa Leslie had some more words of praise for the rookie star. Reese has been a popular figure outside of the hardwood, too. She has been attending fashion events as well as collaborating with big brands to drop her exclusive sneaker line. And much like that, Reese has achieved yet another personal milestone.
Lisa Leslie Hails Angel Reese For Special Personal Recognition
Reese’s regular-season record looked quite decent. She ended with averages of 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Unfortunately, all these were not enough to prevent her team from failing to qualify for the playoffs for a second successive time. However, while such an experience surely left a bad taste in Reese’s mouth, the 23-year-old ensured that she shone bright outside of the court too.

In a recent development, the league recognized Reese for her superb fashion choices. She was awarded the 2025 WNBA MVP for LeagueFits. The achievement was posted on social media, and the channel acknowledged Reese for her “confidence, originality, and spice” in dressing. And the good things did not end there. Reese was also added to the All-League first team. Meanwhile, commenting on the same, Los Angeles Sparks’ legend, Leslie, seemed overjoyed for the 23-year-old. She said, “It! @angelreese5 Representing for the Tall Barbies.”
Surely, this was a moment of delight for the Chicago star. However, Reese has been making some decent progress in the fashion world, too. Only recently, Reese became the first pro-athlete to walk Victoria’s Secret runway. And as the WNBA star shines bright, her agent revealed some great plans for the 23-year-old ahead.

Angel Reese’s Agent Shares Solid Career Plan Beyond WNBA
Reese is rapidly progressing. Not only is she a basketball star, but she is also promoting herself as a brand. Interestingly, a few years back, the 23-year-old frowned about the fact that she could only make $2000 from the WNBA. But now, the Chicago star is making millions. And none other than her agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, made all of this possible. And she is not stopping anytime soon. Instead, Ogbonnaya shared her plan on how she is planning to build Reese an empire outside of the WNBA.

“I know what we have is so special. We can continue to build this to be something that nobody has ever seen is important. So I don’t need to, you know, to do that for me. I think my goal is to build a brand for her that can withstand well past her playing days. If I have done that, my job is done right like that,” Ogbonnaya stated.
Thus, it is evident that things are looking quite rosy for Reese. And as the next season approaches, fans will be eager to see how well she can uplift her game on the hardwood further.
