The Dallas Wings faced a tough task going up against the Indiana Fever recently. While Fever did not have the services of Caitlin Clark, the team did come together to put up a stellar show. However, this WNBA season, injuries seem to have taken a front row seat. It all began with Clark nursing her groin. And now, Wings’ Maddy Siegrist too, has followed suit.
The Wings did their best. Yet the Fever were simply too good to beat. But en route to such a loss, a pivotal factor became the unavailability of Siegrist. And this might have left the team to fight with limited resources.
Maddy Siegrist Is Still Waiting To Play For Dallas Wings
Earlier, it was Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, CC, and now Maddy. The list of prominent stars getting injured is simply unbelievable. Now, in Siegrist’s case, there was an air of doldrums around her. Just a day prior to the game, the Wings announced that she would be making her return against the Indiana Fever.
And while such news made the fans excited, bad news soon followed. Ahead of the start of the game, Wings stated that Siegrist would not be able to make it to the game. This meant that the Wings’ star will have to continue her frustrating time on the bench further. Till now, the Villanova alum has missed a whopping 17 games.

Her inclusion to the team would have done wonders for the Wings. Till now, Siegrist averaged 9.4 points, with 5.2 rebounds in eleven games. She also dropped her maiden double-double of the season. Siegrist scored 15 points and looked to maximize her effort from thereon. Unfortunately, it was right after this game that the Wings’ star got injured. Meanwhile, the Wings are struggling to put their names on the winning avenue. Surprisingly, Paige Bueckers had some words of courage for her team.

“The fact we’re competing in every single game that we’re playing, and we’re building reps…we’re a very young team…play in tight games, and play with different lineups..it’s really positive for us to get these reps in the first year that we’re playing. I think it will only help us in the long run and make us better,” Bueckers said.
Surely, with a lot of anticipation, fans will wait to see how things turn around for the Dallas Wings.
