The Indiana Fever had quite a surprisingly decent outing this year. Although they were eliminated from the first round of the playoffs last year, the team advanced to the semifinals this time around. And that too, without the presence of several big names.
Currently, the franchise is seeking to rebuild its roster as several players have entered free agency. Trying to convince the front office, the Fever fans have urged the team to re-sign Sophie Cunningham.
Meanwhile, as the big guns are busy preparing for the next season, Fever forward Makayla Timpson has sparked quite a buzz as she replied back to one of her former FSU teammates.
Mariana Valenzuela Gets A Heartfelt Response From Makayla Timpson
Timpson had been one of the most prominent names for the Florida State University. However, while she transitioned into the WNBA, her impact was still very much significant back at FSU. Timpson, too, maintained a very good relationship with her former teammates.

Likewise, in a recent exit post, Valenzuela extended her gratitude towards Timpson for having her back throughout her stay at Florida. As she moved to Seton Hall this year, Valenzuela wrote, “@kay.timpson appreciation post so proud of you! Being able to watch you play in the wnba meant everything, we used to talk about it back in our dorm during freshman year. My roommate and bestie for four years, and now for life! I don’t know what I would’ve done at FSU or in the U.S. without you. Never thought a girl from a small town like Edison and a Mexican girl would connect the way we did.”
Soon after, the heartfelt post caught Timpson’s eyes. And she gave back the love by replying, “Love you so much😭❤️”

Meanwhile, as the offseason is underway, Timpson is eager to add more quality to her game. And she has ventured outside of the USA, the Fever star shared some solid future plans.
Makayla Timpson Wants To Up Her Game In Europe
The WNBA offseason is not always a period of leisure for many athletes. In fact, most of them travel to Europe to play in different basketball leagues. Likewise, Timpson, too, signed with the EuroLeague powerhouse, ZVVZ USK Praha.

As Timpson got limited minutes for the Fever this year, she will be expected to get more gametime for Praha. And while she will also be sharing the locker room with some of the most experienced campaigners in the league, Timpson looks quite excited for the stint.
“I’m expecting to see my competition unfold,” Timpson said. “To play in the best league in Europe and just go out and dominate on the court.”
Thus, it looks like Timpson is eager to come back next year as an improved star. Now, it will be interesting to see how well she plays in the future.
