Valentine’s Day might be for showcasing the love of a partner, but the WNBPA used it to target the WNBA with their poetic warnings on social media. The players’ association is looking to quickly resolve the issue to move forward with the remaining processes. Two players, Marina Mabrey and Saniya Rivers, followed the tradition, though with their lovely posts on the day.
The Connecticut Sun pair are the closest of friends who regularly share updates with fans and also care for each other, as per their social media activity. Their latest posts also melted many hearts.

Apart from these photos, fans also loved the video of Saniya Rivers celebrating Mabrey’s massive 47-point record in the Unrivaled league. The veteran guard also opened up on what fueled the explosive scoring night.
Marina Mabrey Speaks About Her 47-Point Production
The 29-year-old guard is very competitive on the floor and, hence, sometimes loses control, which results in crash-outs. She introduced a ‘Crash out Jar’, that keeps her in check during the heated moments and holding her accountable for the games. In the next game, only she scored a league record 47 points.
“I saw a lot of people on social media talking about, ‘Oh, the Owls shouldn’t be in this. Trade them for someone else.’ Alright, keep that same energy. Hold that, and I’ll see what I can do about that. I don’t like that because we’re all professionals, and we’ve had a lot of injuries, and we’ve been very close in a lot of instances,” Mabrey said in an interview.
“Our record doesn’t reflect that. We’re not as bad as our record is by any means whatsoever. So, to disrespect us like that and the work and the time that we’ve put in, that kind of hit me a little bit,” she added.
The talented guard has huge potential and can use her competitive edge for good. The record performance is clearly an example of the same.
