The March Madness day one had been very predictable, with top sides leading the charge. But the second round games brought a lot of drama, as fans have already seen a few exciting matchups, with two teams winning in overtime. The Washington Huskies pushed a higher-ranked TCU Team to the limit for the nervy 62-59 win, allowing the third-seeded team to advance to the Sweet 16.
While the team showed resilience and grit in the game, there were also some fun moments, and TCU star Marta Suarez brought one for fans.

The TCU Horned Frogs are looking to make history with their resilient lineup and have made it to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year. While the game was low scoring and tough. Players showed no pressure during the press conference.
In the post-game interview, which took place at midnight, the interviewer mentioned that some players might have early classes. Marta Suarez was quick to respond with ‘8 AM’ timing and took the opportunity to plead for an extension. She said, “If Dr Lemon is watching this, text me.”

While the light-hearted moment broke the laughter in the conference room, players were clearly tired after the ‘extra’ work they put in the game. One player, though, who looked least bothered was senior guard Olivia Miles.

The recent 2026 WNBA mock draft showed the TCU guard among the top 10 players, and with her performance in the first two games, she proved the predictions right. While she recorded a triple-double in game one, she secured an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double in the game.
“I owe it all to my teammates, to be honest. I was crashing out multiple times, was angry, was feeling all the emotions because I didn’t want to go home and don’t want them to let my team down,” Miles said. “It’d be a disservice for me not to be resilient for them, and for myself.”
It’s interesting that the player never reached the Sweet 16, and now, with the talented TCU team, she will aim for a deeper run in the competition.
