Megan Gustafson Calls WNBA Championship Her Second Favorite Ring
The 2019 rookie won her first WNBA championship after spending seven years with four different teams. While the former Iowa star won multiple titles in Europe, she called her WNBA title her second-best achievement, after she got engaged to David DiLeo, whom she announced her engagement to on social media in July 2025. DiLeo is a former college basketball player who now plays professionally overseas in France.
“Thankful & grateful, my heart is absolutely full! I came to this organization wanting one thing: a championship. And we did it! The season had so many ups and downs, especially when I was injured for half of it. But I’m so proud of how I came back and had the best support system in the world while doing so!” Gustafson wrote in her post.
While the player showed her excitement, A’ja Wilson fired back at Gustafson’s callout with a playful social media post. After completing her second year with the Aces, the US-born Spanish star is an unrestricted free agent in the league.
