The stakes are getting higher with the Commissioner’s Cup final between the Minnesota Lynx and the Indiana Fever nearing each hour. While Fever was already dealing with current form and injury concerns, their counterpart, Lynx, too, seemed to have hit a devastating roadblock.
Just as momentum seemed to be on Lynx’s side, a critical injury to their star player, Karlie Samuelson, has cast a dark cloud over the team’s championship aspirations. With the pressure higher than ever, the Lynx now face an uphill battle to stay in contention, and time is not on their side.
Why Happened To Minnesota Lynx Star Karlie Samuelson?
During the Sunday game between the Minnesota Lynx and the Connecticut Sun, the Fullerton-born star sustained a hindering foot injury. The unexpected turn of events happened during the second quarter, and soon after that, Samuelson was ruled out of the entire game.
Thereafter, a new development came in as a Lynx reporter, Mitchell Hansen, took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to update fans that Karlie Samuelson will not be part of the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup final against the Indian Fever.

However, after Samuelson’s injury, who was averaging 3.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, the Lynx will have to figure out who could replace their star shooting guard.
