The Minnesota Lynx has a healthy six-game advantage over the second-placed Atlanta Dream and has already qualified for the playoffs following the Indiana Fever’s loss against the Wings. Does this mean the side will take a step back and enjoy other teams’ fight for the postseason qualification?
No, the champion teams never lose at any moment, and the Lynx showed their hunger by strengthening their roster. The franchise announced the signing of forward Camryn Taylor on a seven-day contract.
Minnesota Lynx Add Camryn Taylor
The Lynx had already signed the former Virginia star on a seven-day contract, but she didn’t play in any game. This time, she will be hoping to get some minutes under her belt to impress Coach Reeve.
In the next three days, league leaders will play back-to-back games against the defending champions, the New York Liberty. Their faceoff has always been thrilling for the fans, and Camryn Taylor will look to play her part in this rivalry week.

The 6-foot-1 forward was undrafted in the league. But her ACC record and second-team selection kept her in the hunt for a regular role in the WNBA. Her association with the Lynx goes back to 2024 when she signed a training camp contract with the side. Sadly, she couldn’t make it to the final roster that season.
HC Reeve will look to give rest to some of her forwards ahead of the playoffs, keeping eyes on the title. This could provide some fringe players a chance to impress the coach and earn some more minutes.

Camryn Taylor Will Look To Find Her Place In Stacked Roster
Signing a seven-day contract won’t assure the 25-year-old star a definite place in the Lynx. Injury to Napheesa Collier forced the Western Conference side to make constant adjustments and add potential candidates to the lineups. Taylor will have to prove herself in the stacked roster.

DiJonai Carrington proved to be a shrewd signing and has impacted the games with her defensive gameplay. Alanna Smith, Jessica Shepard, and Bridget Carleton have also contributed in many ways, handing Cheryl Reeve multiple options in the frontcourt.
With seven days and four games in hand, Taylor will need to hit the ground running to find her place in the lineup.
