The streak is over for the Minnesota Lynx. In a clash of heavyweights, the table toppers squared off against a resilient Atlanta Dream. And while the Lynx are on song this season, Atlanta, too, is not lagging behind. With some impressive performances recently, the Dream is slowly gaining some momentum. Having lost 10 games, the Dream looked to be in a spot of bother.
However, pulling up the socks, they are now at number 4, with a 15-10 record. And their latest outing against the Lynx brought them further joy. Led by Brittney Griner, the Dream has now ended the Lynx’s 14-game home win streak.
Brittney Griner Leads The Charge For Dream Against Lynx
Brittney Griner ran riot as the Atlanta Dream humbled the Lynx 90-86. Taking a dominant lead from the word go, Griner dropped 22 points on the night. This was her best outing for the season so far. A win against the Lynx is quite significant for the Dream. With added zeal, they can now try to aim towards clinching the championship.
Meanwhile, Griner also had four rebounds and three assists to further strengthen her case. Playing second fiddle to the Dream star, Jordin Canada, too, had quite a merry run. She dropped 18 points with identical rebounds and assists to Griner. Now then, a closer look at the game will reveal that everything was not all rosy for the Dream.
