The Minnesota Lynx today provided the following injury report on guard Karlie Samuelson. She suffered a left foot injury on June 29. While the latest injury comes at the wrong time, Samuelson has been through it during her long career. And for a player like hers, who has a great track record of longevity and conditioning, Karlie will bounce back.

However, she is one of the most experienced players in the league. Which means her experience and knowledge do come in handy for many. In seven years of her career, she has played for six teams, which helps her case.

Karlie Samuelson was ruled out before the Commissioner’s Cup final against the Indiana Fever, which the Fever won.

The Minnesota Lynx recently shared a press release sharing Karlie Samuleson’s injury and confirming that she is out for the whole season.
“An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) was taken at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine in Minneapolis, where Samuelson also met with Mayo Clinic foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Norman Turner III, to further evaluate and discuss treatment options. Samuelson will undergo surgery and subsequently miss the remainder of the 2025 season. Further updates on her progress will be provided when available,” the press release read(Official Press Release read VIA Minnesota).
Even though there is no reported date for her return, she can be expected to return next season. Let’s hope Karlie Samuelson gets the better of the injury and, after surgery, she returns stronger to the league and Lynx.
