Napheesa Collier hits back at critics, shutting down all the conspiracy theories going on in the WNBA. With the players currently having their hands full with Collective Bargaining negotiations, Minnesota Lynx star Collier has been one of the biggest advocates for fellow players in the league.
Napheesa Collier is the vice president of the WNBPA, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that she fights for player rights. Recently, Collier addressed a wild conspiracy theory running through the WNBA league’s corridors. With CBA rejecting the first proposal by the players’ union, Collier might have felt it was the right time to give some answers.
Napheesa Collier Hits Back At Fan For This Crazy Conspiracy Theory
According to a fan on social media, Collier and WNBPA president Breanna Stewart, who co-founded the Unrivaled League, hope the 3-on-3 league will thrive if WNBA players opt to lock out. In other words, Unrivalled will benefit from the WNBA’s downturn. However, Collier instantly responded on X(formerly Twitter).
“So let me get this straight….While everyone else was enjoying fireworks, you were thinking about how me and & Stewie of all people, are conspiring to force a lockout that would result in less money year-round for WNBA players??” wrote Napheesa Collier.

While everyone else was enjoying fireworks, you were thinking about how me and & Stewie of all people are conspiring to force a lockout that would result in less money year-round for WNBA players??🧐😂😂😂 https://t.co/jOiF5TRiAB
This past January, Collier and Stewart established Unrivaled. WNBA players have the potential to earn a wage during the off-season. Following this season, the original 2019 CBA agreement comes to an end. The players elected to opt out of the agreement, which was slated to expire after the 2027 season.
Even with players like Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier being the advocates for players, the league doesn’t agree to all the problems addressed by the players. It sometimes causes disharmony between the league and players. But let’s hope it all goes well between the league and the players.

Is This Conspiracy Theory Against Napheesa Collier Real?
There is no way this conspiracy could be true. Not being part of the 2026 WNBA season would cost Collier and Stewart money, so they would not attempt to force a lockout to help their Unrivaled league. Players would be more likely to return overseas for higher-paying contracts if there were a lockout.
Some much-needed reforms should be demanded by the union. Hopefully, the two parties will try to come up with a new CBA that works for the league and the players who contribute to its success.

Unrivaled’s success is undoubtedly beneficial to Collier and Stewart, but they also profit by, you know, getting as much money as they can out of their WNBA contracts. It gets limited by a lockout, which doesn’t look good for Collier or Stewart. It’s not that hard, folks. A successful, Unrivaled CBA negotiation is Collier and Stewart’s ideal scenario. But till then, let’s hope that the league and WNBA can find some middle ground.
