The Minnesota Lyn was topside in the 2025 season but fell short of the championship, losing to the Phoenix Mercury in the semifinals. While the Mercury side had the upper hand throughout the series, Injury to Napheesa Collier played a huge role in the side’s exit.
Fans were worried about Collier’s possible return as the star missed the unrivalled season 2. There was news about an operation to escalate the rehab. Amid this, the player’s recent public appearance was not a good sign for Lynx fans.

The Lynx star was recently spotted at a basketball camp in Hopkins. She arrived with a scooter and a cast, the visuals many fans saw earlier in the season and during the Unrivalled games, too.
Lynx beat reporter Andrew Dukowitz shared the photos and wrote, “I did check in with the Lynx, and they had no comment at this time. Until I hear more, I’m staying positive.”

As a 2025 All-WNBA First Team selection and 2025 MVP runner-up, Collier has established herself as an elite franchise cornerstone, meeting the criteria for a “Veteran Max” or Supermax contract. The new supermax salary starts at $1.4 million in 2026, and with or without an injury, the Lynx will look to keep its megastar at the franchise with a supermax contract.
