The WNBA and WNBPA are still working on the CBA deal. As per the latest report, WNBA and WNBPA will have a meeting on the deadline day – March 10. Ahead of the meeting, Napheesa Collier made her stance clear via her recent interview and demanded a respectable offer from the league.
So far, the WNPA has lowered their revenue-sharing demands to 25% while the league is still staying firm on 15% offer. The Lynx star is not at all happy with the league’s efforts and tone.

Napheesa Collier Slams WNBA For ‘Pity Support’
The former UConn star had been very vocal about her views on the WNBA’s approach towards the CBA and even opened up some of her ‘private discussions’ with commissioner Cathy Engelbert. Since then, the player has constantly targeted the league authorities for their actions and decisions.
In a recent interview, she called the offer ‘pity support as she spoke on the CBA offer from the league.
Explaining her view, she said, “I think the tone is that. We have always had really ride or die fans. But now that that’s growing, you have more casual fans, which is extremely important for the sport. Having a casual fan is what makes it grow. The overall message is that we are growing.

It gives us leverage. We don’t have to just accept anything you give us, because if you don’t give us what we’re owed, we have other places we can go.”
