The 2024 WNBA runners-up, Minnesota Lynx, were the top side in the season and contenders for the title. Consistent players like Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride were the main reasons for the team’s dominance.
Even though they lost in the semifinals against the Mercury team, Collier was the top player in the league, finishing second in the MVP race and later earning a spot on Forbes’ 2025 30 Under 30 List for her performance.
Though Collier’s injury shortened the franchise’s journey in the league, the player recently provided a positive update for the fans.

Napheesa Collier Provides Update On Her Injury
The Lynx title dreams crashed as its superstar suffered an injury in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinal. Cameras caught Collier’s brutal collision with Alyssa Thomas, which was then followed by HC Cheryl Reeve’s epic reaction and ejection, nearly sealing the team’s exit.
Now the star provided an update on her injury and rehab, as Collier said, “I’m still working to get back to 100%. I’m still doing my rehab every day. It’s gotten way, way better. I’m just taking it every day at a time. I’m excited to get back out there.”
Napheesa Collier says she didn’t need surgery on her foot injury. She’s not 100 percent yet.
