Things are looking quite bright for the Minnesota Lynx. On one hand, Lynx secured the first playoff spot of the 2025 season. And now, to double the joy for them, the team has been strengthened by the inclusion of their star player, Napheesa Collier. As Minnesota took on the Indiana Fever recently, Collier’s entry into the side made the Lynx fans utterly excited.
Following an ankle injury, the 28-year-old was forced to be sidelined. She missed seven games in a row, and the team was waiting for her to return to the main scheme of things. Thankfully, when she finally did, her performance relieved a lot of stress from the management.
Napheesa Collier Shines In Her Comeback Game Against The New York Liberty
Returning to the side, it did not seem that Collier had missed so many games at a stretch. Right from the start of the game, the veteran star was in control. And complementing her dominant way of play, Collier dropped 32 points on her return. Speaking in the post-game conference, the 28-year-old could not hold back her excitement about being able to compete again.

“It definitely felt good, I feel like I had to knock a little bit of the rust off, Courtney (Williams) could have had 11 assists. But more than anything, it just felt good to be back with the team. You know, sitting (on the bench), it feels like you’re on the outside when you’re not playing. I’m having such FOMO (fear of missing out), it feels so good to be on the court with them again,” said Collier.

Napheesa Collier, The Star Of The Show In The All-Star Game
Team Clark vs. Team Collier was shaping up to be a cracker of a game. Unfortunately, Clark’s groin injury ruled her out of the All-Star game. Hearing the news, the fans got a little disappointed. Collier, however, made sure to keep the crowd entertained all the way. Owing to the 28-year-old’s impressive display, Team Collier thumped over Team Clark with a 20-point margin. And more importantly, it was Collier alone who set the court ablaze.

The 28-year-old dropped 36 points on the night. And she did so in just a matter of 19 minutes. And this was no ordinary feat by any means. With such a showing, the Lynx star broke the previous individual best in an All-Star game. Arike Ogunbowale had 34 points in the 2024 edition. Now, it was the 28-year-old who took pole position and entered legendary territory. Surely, with Collier in sublime touch, the Lynx’s championship hopes look bright.
