The WNBA offseason is unveiling new and unknown stories of players and the league that are connecting fans closer to the stars and franchises. The league also contributed to the community. Recently, Natasha Cloud praised the WNBA for saving democracy in 2020.
While the player called for activism and remained optimistic about the ongoing CBA negotiations, she also shared her experience of ‘first adversity’ in her life.
Natasha Cloud Talks about Her Biological Father
The former WNBA champion was on the Modern Love Podcast, where she opened up on her young age struggle and one of the heart-wrenching events of her life as she understood that her biological father had abandoned her. The player dealt with the situation bravely and narrated the story on a podcast.

“I remember going home and just being like, so, he didn’t want me. There’s no need to go look for this sperm donor. Like, I don’t have a want to. She told me he lived a town over. It’s crazy because it’s like, I know you saw my name, I know he saw my mom’s name in the paper. … For me, that was the final chapter. I just wanted to know his name. I wanted to know where he was from,” Cloud said.
The gifted guard mentioned that her mother promised her full disclosure on her 18th birthday, which she completed on time. ‘Tash’ even added that she now knows that she doesn’t care about her father anymore, and her respect for her family grew, understanding the truth.

Natasha Cloud Showers Support For Democratic Candidate Zohran Mamdani
While in the CBA negotiations, Zohran Mamdani is one of 70 legislators who showed support for WNBPA over the CBA discussions, the Liberty Guard came forward and campaigned for the Democratic candidate for NY Mayor.
“I refuse to accept a world where people are punished for seeking safety or silenced for speaking the truth. I refuse a system that values profit over people and power over love. And that is why I am so very proud to tell you that I stand with Zohran Mamdani. Zohran has shown us, he has shown us what true leadership looks like when it is grounded in courage and compassion,” Cloud said to the people in the rally.
While the candidate already has higher chances of winning the post, Cloud’s unfiltered support and inspirational speech will positively impact his credentials.
