The CBA discussion has seen very little progress since the last expiration of their extension. While both parties are looking to stay strong on the stand, the declared date for the new season is approaching. Natasha Cloud, who already hinted at WNBA players’ backup plan, had had enough as she spoke about the players’ stance in the discussion.
Now, as per the latest update, there is a meeting between players’ representatives and the league representatives in New York on Monday, February 2. Ahead of the meeting, Kelsey Plum drops a bombshell, sending a warning to the league over the CBA discussions. Her sentences also echoed Cloud’s stance.

Natasha Cloud With Strong Words For CBA Discussions
Right from the start of the discussions, the WNBPA maintained its unity over a few non-negotiable demands, and right now, they are ready to fight for them. The former WNBA champion also hinted at the same unity and stance.
“We are standing firm in our feet and 10 toes down, there is a reason, and we will not move until y’all move. So I’m gonna look directly into the camera too, but we will not (expletive) move until y’all move,” Cloud said.
A reporter (sorry don’t know who) asked Natasha Cloud if she was worried about the lack of a CBA once February 1 rolled around.

“It would be the worst business decision of any business to not literally pay the players that make your business go. Without us, there is no W season. So if the pressure is on the WNBA, on Cathy (Engelbert), on (NBA commissioner) Adam (Silver), on everyone that is in that front office. Do your job. Negotiate and pay your people, your players, your workers,” She added.

Amid all this, the player is happy with her Unrivaled success, and moreover, Cloud voices strong support for Unrivaled’s latest expansion step with an obvious reason.
Natasha Cloud’s Philly Return Sets Record
Born and brought up in Philadelphia, the Liberty guard was happy to be back in the region and already predicted massive success for the league. Fans also didn’t disappoint as the opening day in Philly saw over 21,000 spectators for the games.
This sets a new attendance record for the women’s basketball games and also for any event in the Xfinity Mobile arena.

While players and owners are happy with the response, this will certainly encourage the league to search for similar profitable venues and expansion locations to make an even bigger impact in the upcoming seasons.
