The Minnesota Lynx secured the first playoff spot this year. However, that does not mean that the team is resting back with complacency. With 32 wins and eight losses, the Lynx are the strongest contenders for the WNBA title this year. Despite having their hopes crushed by the New York Liberty last season, the Lynx are determined to turn their fate around. And after yet another powerful performance against the Dallas Wings, the Minnesota-based side is looking formidable, especially with the likes of Natisha Hiedeman, who is making WNBA history while coming off the bench.
Lynx recently faced off against a depleted Wings’ side. With injuries plaguing the team, the side has been compelled to sign players under extreme hardship contracts. And the likes of Hiedeman made full use of the same. As the Lynx registered a 96-71 blowout victory, the 28-year-old entered the history books.
Natisha Heideman Impresses With Superb Performance Off The Bench
Heideman was a live wire on the hardwood against the Wings. As she played for 30 minutes, the 28-year-old delivered with an impeccable stat line. She concluded her game with a total of 20 points, 10 assists, and three rebounds. The Lynx’s star also had impressive numbers with her shooting. Out of the 13 attempts made from the field, Heideman successfully converted 7 of them.

She also shot 4-of-5 from the three-point line while getting 2-of-2 from the free throw. Now then, with such a strong performance, the 28-year-old made a unique league history. According to reports from ‘StatMuse,’ Heideman became the very first player to drop 20+ points, 10+ assists, and 4+ three pointers while coming off the bench.

And while Heideman had the unstoppable performance going, she had and equally abled aid from their premier star, Napheesa Collier. Collier dropped 25 points, three rebounds, and three blocks. And with the combined efforts of both, Lynx took down Dallas with ease. Meanwhile, with the team looking solid, Courtney Williams had a stern warning for her competitors.

Courtney Williams Warns Opponents As Natisha Heideman, Napheesa Collier Shine
Heideman’s performance will surely give a sense of relief to Minnesota. Having succumbed to a shock defeat recently, the 28-year-old had the nerves of her team soothed. Now then, the team will feel even more confident looking at Collier’s form after her return from injury. In fact, she has been so phenomenal that Sophie Cunningham hailed Collier as the WNBA’s toughest star. Surely, all these were enough for Courtney Williams to put her opponents on notice.

“We’re a problem. We’ve been a problem, but now we’re really a problem,” said Williams.
Well, Williams had some good reasons to be excited. Collier came back against the Indiana Fever after nursing her neck injury. And right away, she dropped a 32-point game to assert her dominance once again. Thus, with things looking bright, fans will be eagerly waiting to see how things pan out in the future.
