With this year’s NBA Draft, the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark got one huge fan. While she is shining bright on the Indiana side, the superstar rookie is winning players across the league. Along with the sold-out arenas and crazy fans, Clark’s popularity has been on a constant surge.
While the Fever, along with Clark, has been struggling with a lackluster performance recently, it is not dimming her superstar status. Despite all of this, she has been making a great case for herself.
Mavericks Draft Pick Cooper Flagg Names Caitlin Clark To His Mount Rushmore
The Dallas Mavericks’ No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg, had a lot to say about Clark. During his introductory press conference, Flagg was posed the intriguing question about his WNBA Mount Rushmore. If you don’t know, Mount Rushmore is an honor normally reserved for the most legendary players in league history.
However, in his response, he boldly named Clark as his pick for the esteemed list. According to Flagg, Clark has fundamentally altered the way the game is played and is headed toward a truly bright future.
“Candace Parker, Brittney Griner, I think A’ja Wilson is on there, and then I might put Caitlin Clark on there. Just because she has changed the game so much, and is heading in the right direction. And I just love what she has been able to do,” he said. [via X (formerly Twitter)]

Flagg spoke highly of Clark’s impact on the sport and acknowledged her stardom, which has brought a huge number of fans to the WNBA. While the Mount Rushmore selection often consists of established legends, Clark’s making it to the list in itself is a huge tag for her.
