This association is one of a kind, with the franchise becoming the first to promote beauty products through its athletes and even through its beloved mascot – Elle the Elephant.
New York Liberty Confirms Deal with Rihanna’s Beauty Brand
The WNBA players are famous for their hooping abilities and also known for their beauty. Players like Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, Paige Bueckers, and Caitlin Clark have a number of admirers and followers for their off-court looks, too. It is noteworthy that Reese recently announced the early release of her signature Reebok shoes. And this highlights the point that WNBA teams and their players are building a stature among brands across the globe.

While these stars occasionally promote the skin care products individually, the New York Liberty went a step ahead by collaborating with Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin product line.
The beauty brand made its appearance in the WNBA during the 2024 All-Star game, sponsoring a part for the players. They also sponsored athletes during the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympic Games. However, a full-fledged partnership with a WNBA team is the first of its kind, highlighting the brand’s willingness to bend the boundaries for the reach.

The Liberty players also showed excitement, as forward Isabelle Harrison explained the ‘need’ of such a deal.
“I think it’s pretty cool now that both sides are kind of meeting in the middle. I finally found a perfect space for me to represent all of who I am, not just being an athlete, not just being a beauty junkie. So Fenty, with this partnership with the Liberty, it’s truly brought both of my worlds together,” the forward said.
Rihanna is undisputed queen of the entertainment world and the Liberty side is also 2024 WNBA Champion, partnership between the two top brands is win-win situation for both.
New York Liberty Looking To Replicate 2024 Championship Triumph
The storied franchise came close to winning the title on five occasions before finally clinching the coveted trophy in 2024. A member of the inaugural season in the league, the 28-year wait seems like an eternity, but now, with a strong starting lineup and a potent bench, the side is once again set to challenge for the title.
Overcoming the injury crisis and also defeating tough opponents like the Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces, Sany Brondello’s team proved its capabilities in the season.
