Right after the expansion drafts, all attention turned towards the free agency market, which is one of the biggest ‘power shifter’ in many senses following the new CBA confirmation. As per reports, the Seattle Storm will lose two veteran stars in the FA, and Nneka Ogwumike’s recent activity showed that she is one of them.
The player spent two seasons with the Strom team, extending her contract in 2025 for one year. But now a free agent, 35-year-old str made up her mind and bid farewell with a heart-warming post.

As a veteran and WNBPA President, the former Stanford player has been part of many big league decisions and now will be making one for herself. She recently spoke about the ‘new power’ to the WNBA stars via the CBA, as she said, “I’m grateful that I am a veteran because I’ve seen a lot of different things happen in this league. I’ve experienced a lot of different things and so there’s a level of discernment that I have that is hopefully not going to add more stress to what already is a very hectic time.”

“I just really hope that everybody feels a little bit better given the agreement that we’ve been able to draft and they can make the best decisions for themselves,” Ogwumike added.
While a recent photo connected to Ogwumike linked her with the Minnesota Lynx, there are multiple options in the market.
